My experience with Facetheory skincare
First of all, I did not feel like breaking the bank. Trust me when I say that you could easily spend a small fortune on skincare products, if you're looking at some of the most bougie products on the market.
Second, I feel like I've been blessed when it comes to my skin. Not that I have won the genetic lottery (not even close), but I can't complain. Apart from some hyper-pigmentation and some large pores, I think it ain't that bad (so far). So I wanted a simple and easy regimen that I could follow.
I had been seeing these ads all over Instagram and Facebook. And by seeing I mean, they were literally all over the place (good marketing, Facetheory!). So, after a bit of investigating and deciding what would work for my skin, I placed an order.
Their site is super simple to navigate. You can easily look for and find a product, or simply build your own routine. They are vegan, cruelty free and have a 365 day guarantee. Now, how awesome is that? If you're not happy and you don't see any improvements in your skin, you have 1 year to return the products and get a refund.
So I decided to order 3 things only and see how my skin would adapt. This is what I got:
First of all, let me tell you: I got my order in 3 days! I was amazed, to be honest. They ship for FREE, in 2-4 days, to anywhere in Europe for orders of €30 and above. (for you to have an idea, I have been waiting for over a week for another order I placed on the same day, from another company, but coming from the same country, using the same carrier... but I'll tell you all about that some other time).
So, let's break this down.
Clarifying cleanser C2 with glycolic acid, salicylic acid and lactic acid - a cleanser that removes make-up and impurities. They claim the "cleanser contains a powerful trifecta of acids at a low pH to clarify oily, congested, blemish-prone skin". And also, " purifies pores and minimises redness while gently resurfacing your skin".
Cera-C Pore Reducing Toner T1 - A lightweight toner formulated with ceramides and 5% niacinamide (vitamin B3) to balance oil, promote elasticity, and minimise pore size. They claim the "Cera-C Pore Reducing Toner T1 contains niacinamide to reduce and refine pores. Ceramides protect skin against water loss, vitamin C brightens and evens skin tone, and aloe vera soothes."
Regena-C Moisturiser M4 with retinol, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid - They claim the "Regenerating Moisturiser M4 absorbs quickly to leave skin feeling soft and hydrated. Stabilised vitamin C, vitamin E, retinol (0.6%) and hyaluronic acid stimulate cell turnover while protecting skin's moisture balance and shielding against future environmental damage."
So, I have been using this for 6 days. 6 days only. And I can clearly see the improvement in my skin. My skin is brighter, my pores are smaller, my skin tone is more even, some of the hyper-pigmentation is fading away. I spend half of the day looking in the mirror because I can't believe how good it looks.
I am definitely going back and order a few more things because, hands down, this is the best my skin has looked in a very long time.
They are also kind enough to give your friends 20% off of all products! So if you were thinking about trying it, click here and you'll get 20% off!
