Can I leave the house without makeup? #1

When it comes to makeup, not everything works for everyone. I personally have no plans of looking like one of those makeup gurus on Youtube. I love watching those videos, don't get me wrong. But when you're 40, your skin doesn't react the same way when you're applying ludicrous amounts of makeup. So, we need to keep it sweet and simple. And, sometimes, leaving the house without makeup on isn't an option... We all have those days. This is what works for me.

  1. Primer
Yes, you do need to prime. It helps smoothing your fine lines, pores, and it will help your makeup last longer. The primer that I use helps me mostly with my oily T-zone. There are a million options in the market. And you can actually combine primers for a personalized effect.

          2. Foundation

This one really depends on your personal taste. Are you looking for a glowy, dewy look? Or you're all about matte? I like to have my oils under control (I have combination skin). So, this is a personal favorite.

            3. Powder

I am actually on the market looking to try something new (open to suggestions, if you have any). I'm currently using this one but I feel like it makes my skin just a bit too dry. And yes, if you want your concealer to last all day, you need powder.

            4. Brows

Also currently looking to try something new. I can say I'm a lucky girl woman, and I don't need that much help with my eyebrows. If I feel the need to fill them in, I just use a random brown shadow. If not, I just reach out for the gel.

               5. Bronzer

It brings your face back to life after you've applied foundation. So you need it, whether you realize it or not! Don't skip this step! It makes such a difference. You can go for the matte ones, for the more glowy ones. Or you can just find something in between. (I think I need to replace mine... I just found out it's no longer available. Hello, expiration date!)

                6. Concealer

So many options in this category. An endless panoply of textures and coverages, with something for everyone. These two are the ones I'm currently using. The Maybelline one has a flawless, natural coverage. The Nars one has a medium to buildable coverage and a natural, radiant finish.
